Team News:

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Brendon McCullum was dropped for Corey Anderson in the last game against the Mumbai Indians. If he is brought back, Virat Kohli would have to step down at the number three position. No further changes are expected in the RCB line-up.

Key Players

Skipper Virat Kohli is leading from the front with the bat. He is topping the season’s runs charts with two fifties and an average of 67. While he is RCB’s key batsman, the Daredevils will also have their eyes locked on AB de Villiers and Quinton de Kock and will look to remove them as early as possible. With the ball, the team will turn to the fast bowling pair of Chris Woakes and Umesh Yadav to do the damage. Woakes has been their best bowler up till now with eight wickets in four matches and he could make the early inroads into the Daredevils’ batting line-up.

Recent Form

Royal Challengers Bangalore have won just one and lost three out of the four league matches they have played so far this season and are placed seventh on the points table. Following their win against the Kings XI Punjab, they have faced back-to-back defeats against the Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians.

Delhi Daredevils

Delhi Daredevils replaced Daniel Christian with Chris Morris in the last match against the Kolkata Knight Riders and they could retain him for this match as well. So the team is likely to go in with an unchanged playing eleven.

Key Players

Rishabh Pant’s last two innings’ scores read 47 and 43. He has scored the most runs for the Daredevils so far and has an excellent strike rate of 176.92. Together with him, Jason Roy, Gautam Gambhir and Glenn Maxwell are also the key figures in this batting line-up. Maxwell is coming off an impressive show against KKR and his big-hitting abilities make him a very dangerous player in this format of the game. Bowling will rely mainly on paceman Trent Boult and leg-spinner Rahul Tewatia who have been the standout performers with the ball. Both have been amongst the wickets and have not leaked too many runs either.

Recent Form

Delhi Daredevils find themselves at the bottom of the IPL 2018 league standings with one win and three losses from four matches. The suffered a massive 71-run defeat at the hands of the Kolkata Knight Riders in their last game. Prior to that, they beat the Mumbai Indians by seven wickets in what was a really close contest.

Dream11 Team

Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Daredevils Prediction

Royal Challengers Bangalore have lost their last two matches and so the pressure to win is going to be more on them. Another area of concern for them is that they have only managed to win one of their past seven home games and this will make the Delhi Daredevils feel a lot more optimistic. However, the Daredevils have won just one of the last eleven matches against RCB which includes just one win in the last four matches against them at this ground. Their record away from home has not been good either in the recent past with seven defeats in the last nine matches. Both teams are desperately in need of a win at this stage and we feel that RCB due to their home advantage and superior batting strength are better placed to win this battle.
